God is here.

Long time no post. Lo Siento.

So this week is Holy Spirit week. Our speaker is from South Africa and he is an anointed man who really knows how to bring the manifest presence of God.

So last night we all met in the living room, about 40 of us. Stefaan, the speaker, started praying over some people. Some of you may think this is weird what Im going to share, but please know that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, some silly things start to happen.

People started shaking, people started laughing hysterically, some people started weeping, some people had birth pains, and some people yelled.

If you read one of my first blogs of the year, I mentioned there was a boy here that claimed to be atheist. Some people are just too smart for their own good, their mind questions everything and if they cant rap their head around something, they wont believe it.

Well, during all the craziness, lets just say everyone looked like a bunch of drunks on the ground, this kid gets up and screams "GOD IS HERE!!" Everyone yelled with so much joy and the laughter got out of control. Wow. What a moment, to see someone transformed as they experienced the presence of the Almighty God.

Some people were so overwhelmed with the Spirit, today a few guys fell to the ground in the dining hall and had to be carried to class. Ha.

Well, I have more to share but I'll wait till next time. And just to let you know, I almost have all my money for Haiti, thank you Jesus!

I love you guys!! Peace and joy over you.

X-Games and Angels

Things have been interesting lately.

We went to Aspen Colorado last week to go to the Winter X-Games.

Snowboarding.
Tricks.
Drunk people.
Expensive food.
And lots of opportunities to show people love.

There was a spirit of selfishness in the air. So we decided to be servants and show people kindness.

We passed out free hot chocolate a few nights, sang worship songs and chatted with the people on the streets.

We also hit the X-games with random acts of kindness and picked up trash, said thank you to the security guards, and prayed for strangers walking by.

By the end of the weekend we had testimony after testimony of all the cool things that God was doing in people's lives. Its so cool how love changes the atmosphere.

So today we had a girl come up to the front, a former skeptic I might add, and share about how she saw angels in the class room. She said she saw them all around our speaker, which showed her he was an anointed man of God. Then she saw more angels surrounding 3 different people, and they all looked different depending on the anointing that the person had received from God. We were all inspired and just excited to see what God is going to do next. Spontaneous worship tonight. Oh Holy Spirit, join us, heal us, and blow us away with your love.

I love you all!

Day 22....

I can't believe it's coming on a month since I left. Things seem to get better by the day. Even though the excitement has worn off, Ive realized my reality is pretty sweet.

I live in a community of believers, we learn about God together and then we go out and tell the world of how awesome He is. I go snowboarding on the weekends, I bruise my bum, but have a blast as I live on the edge.

This week we are learning about relationships the way God intended them to be. I just got done reading a book called SexGod which shows the connecton between sexuality and spirituality. Its seriously good so you should get it at the book store, its by Rob Bell.

Today I turned in my first project and my topic was "Make God Known". Since we were asked to be creative, I decided to make a video, which you can watch, the end has me acting like a weirdo so its worth checkin out.

On wednesday we leave for the X-games for 4 days, its gonna be pretty dang cool.

Life is good, and friendships are developing. I miss everyone back home but I could get use to this close Christian community living, we need good influences around us to help us grow.

Well, hope all is well in your life, click the link below to check out my video! Thanks!

Testimony is powerful....

So today we talked about mission trips and everyone shared testimonies. I am totally stoked about Panama and maybe Costa Rica, its gonna be radical.

Today we finsished up peoples testimonies and it brought many thoughts to my mind. Its interesting to see that everyone here is in such different places spiritually. Id say theres a few of us who are just really on fire for Jesus and are ready to go out into the world and tell people of the amazing ways Jesus has transformed our lives. Then theres people who litterally stopped their negative lifestyle, like drugs and alcohol like 3 days ago and they just want God to show up and rock their world. Then theres people who didnt even wanna be here but feel obligated because of parents or a church or some other influence. Then theres people that just wanna snowboard, not too interested in God rocking their world. Then theres this kid who just turned athiest but still is asking God to reveal himself beyond emotional excitement from his brain.

I guess you could say I thought that most people here were gonna come and be on fire for God, but most people seem to still be looking for answers and direction. And this is totally fine, just different. Parts of me feels like on a different plain then most people, but I know that humility is key and I need God just as much as everyone else. I am excited to see God change lives here though and rock peoples socks off.

Anyways, check out my video!

Its snowing outside....

Hello world,

Im laying down on my bottom bunk bed having some away time. So far, things have been great, already learning things but mostly getting to know people from all over America and the world. We have about 10 people here just from Canada, crazyness, I guess they like the snow. Its been snowing for the whole day so its cold and white out side, tomorrow I will try take a picture cause I live in such a beautiful place. Theres mountains and trees all around us, we have no cell phone signal and no Walmart anywhere close, its us and God.

This week has been bonding week so we have all been getting to know eachother, theres about 40 of us all together. Its like a little community, we eat together, learn together, play together, and sleep in close quarters. The girl above me is really cool, her name is Kendra and she is from California and we have so much in common, like playing guitar, so we decided we were gonna get down and help each other get better.

Our leader John shared his testimony the other day and it was so powerful we all cried the entire time. He basically told us about himself living through cancer and then watching his one year old daughter die of a brain tumor, it was so sad but through it all, he continued to love the Lord and dedicate his life to Him.

This weekend we go snowboarding friday, saturday and sunday and I am totally stoked! Oh and also, I found out that I'm going to Panama for my outreach so I am really pumped about that. Please be praying for me and for my finances to all work out, I know that God is totally gonna rock my world and provide the rest of the money, thanks for your prayers!

I will post again soon and shoot some video footage of where I live and my new friends!
I love you all and miss you too!

One Thing.

Happy new year friends!

Whoa, 2010 is gonna be rediculous! I am currently in Kansas City, Missouri relaxing after a crazy conference called One Thing. I got to witness 2 of my best friends experience the Holy Spirit and I spoke in a heavenly language! Yesterday, atleast 150 people were healed from things like asthma, joint problems, self hatred, and many other things that hold us down from living the full life that God has promised those who love Him. Thats nots to mention the thousdands of people that have been healed these last few months of all sorts of diseases, even cancer, the Holy Spirt is pouring out as we recieve it's gifts. Also, my longest best friend, Emily got baptized last night!! She woke up in 2010 as a new creation and she is stoked about her new found mission and purpose, to spread the love of Jesus and give true honor to God the Father.

I leave tomorrow for my flight to Denver Colorado and on sunday Im going snowboarding!! I am excited about dedicating the next 5 months of my life to Knowing God and spreading His love for the chance that someone will come to Him, for He is SO good! Thank you for reading and I will hopefully be updating regularly so everyone can stay informed on the happenings of Roxanne.

Love. Joy. and more Love. Real love.
